Three Charities, One Heartfelt Mission
“Share The Brilliance” focuses on three Vermont-based charities, each with a heartwarming local mission:
- Camp Ta-Kum-Ta – Camp Ta-Kum-Ta provides challenging, extraordinary experiences in a safe and loving environment for children who have or have had cancer and their families. The camp exists for Vermont and Northern New York children (including other out-of-state children who are treated in Vermont), at no cost to their families.
- Vermont National Guard – A non-profit organization representing the men and women of the Vermont National Guard. We aim to create opportunities and advocate for service member benefits, while promoting our rich heritage and sharing our story. These include creating job opportunities to keep talent in Vermont, tax exempt military pension, zero cost health and dental benefits, and modern equipment.
- Wood4Good – During this year Wood4Good was able to provide firewood to 140 recipient families (approx. 190 cords distributed). In the same way there are no need-based requirements for utilizing a food shelf, local residents can submit requests for firewood assistance and will be granted delivery without question. While the recipients of free firewood are the primary beneficiary of this organization, we believe that when families and individuals come together with the common goal to support members of their own community, the benefits are much farther reaching.
